Past Projects

I worked on this project during my time at BearHammer Games and it was developed using unreal engine 4. During the development, I was tasked with multiple gameplay and user interface tasks. This was an action adventure type virtual reality game that was released in 2024 to Steam, Meta, and PICO storefronts.

Venture’s Gauntlet VR

User interface Tasks:

Multiplayer UI - Leader boards - Level select - Stage end screens

Gameplay Tasks:

Archery - Air punch - GameAnalytics - Obstacles(Lasers, Rope swings, Climbing walls) - Time slow

This was a mini-project I worked on while at BearHammer Games. It wasn’t released to any platforms but parts were used to build upon our other projects at the time. It was my first project in Unreal Engine 5 and helped further my knowledge in Unreal’s UMG.

Tasks I worked on during this project:
Collectables UI - Level Select UI - Interactable object game system

Wizard Training VR

This was the last project I worked on at BearHammer Games. Clonk released to the Meta storefront in 2026 and was developed in Unreal Engine 5. It was my first professional multiplayer project and I was responsible for a lot of the UI and backend integration for player inventory systems/monetisation. I also learned a lot about VR optimisation seeing as the game had to be replicated smoothly between clients and still look good. I also got a bit of experience in setting up servers on amazon web services(AWS) and how to setup a Jenkins pipeline for continuous development.

Tasks I worked on:
A lot of UI - Throwables/Guns mechanic - Player movement - Backend database integration - In-game Level editor - AWS server setup and live game updates

University Projects

During 2018-2022 I studied “Computer Games Application and Development” at Abertay University. For my honours project I studied how realistic Unreal Engine’s physically based rendering(PBR) system is compared to real life using a DMX lighting plugin. During my third year of university, I was part of a team where we made multiple small games in unity and we ended up competing in Dare Academy where we won the sponsorship prize by Dell. During my time at Abertay, I learned the many roles of developing a game which has allowed me to have a varied skillset suitable for most parts of games programming and design.
